I know it kinda looks like a path, but it’s not. This is where my dog runs day after day chasing another dog that she will never catch and just barks at. It is so fruitless and really annoying. It is how I am feeling about my photography. I am going nowhere and I am really afraid that part of the problem is this 365. I used to feel antsy and even angry if I had not gone out and used my camera in a week (granted my pictures are consistently better now because of my 365). Now I feel like I am practicing and practicing for a game I will never play, and it is really starting to wear on me. If I even had an clear idea of a goal that would probably be a good start.
For over a year now I revisit a picture I have in my head of my ceiling fan. In my head the blades are both in motion and frozen in place at the same time. The light bulbs are yellow and all of the rest of the lighting is white. Finally, the shadows are nice and soft. Each time I experiment I get a little bit closer than I was the time before. Maybe next time I will finally be done.

I love machining marks. I find tranquility in the lines and textures created as tools remove metal to create other tools.

My Pioneer Market family got a little fame today. They were on the the TV show Pawn Stars. We stayed up late to watch it, and I have got to say that Joe did great. It was a blast to watch and one of these days quick I need to run home, and get the back story from them. I really can’t say enough great things about Joe and family. If you are ever in Fillmore, UT want to see an amazing collection of guns both modern and antiques, and an eclectic collection of… well everything. Stop in at the store on Main Street and check them out. I guarantee you will come out with interesting pictures and stories.

He had a blast and was so proud of himself that he was taking pictures “like you dad.” And I had fun trying to capture the scene. He even posed me (kinda of) and was entirely in charge.
